Hello again…We arrived safely in Prague yesterday after a harrowing incident of being on the wrong end of the train! One part of the train went in a different direction at the third stop!!We jumped off at that stop and went back to find our first class train car.
Once in the train station we needed to get some Kronos…a new set of coins 100 Euros to 2000 Kronos.More ciphering after we had excepted Euros and dollars as equal(less anxiety).Off we went in a taxi to Betlem Club Hotel. What a step up from Nuremberg. We have a suite, air conditioning and elevator as well as breakfast. We had a quiet evening recovering for the long train ride with some beer and left over train food.
Michael had been bitten by probably a spider in Nuremberg, had a very swollen red lower arm and it was itchy. We hauled out our drug supply and he took some Reactine…..turns out it caused some strange symptoms and his mathematical skills and computer skills took a nose dive.
Wednesday’s plan is a trip to Terezin,so we spent part of Tuesday figuring out the way to the metro.Maps were a challenge as small print and unusual names. We did find our way to the train station and were ready for tomorrow.
Tuesday evening we walked down to the Charles Bridge,a pedestrian bridge with a multitude of statues, street entertainers and artists selling their wares. The river Stare Mesto runs beneath the bridge and the river has many boats, lots of tour boats and Some canals. The architecture and history of the city of Prague is reminiscent of Paris. The streets are are cobble stones and the city planning was obviously not straight forward, but multiple curves, side streets and one way. There are beautiful buildings, churches,,museums and castles.
Every where you go there are pastries, pastries, pastries and it appears that coffee and pastries is one of the most common breakfasts.

The bridge”TOUR”
Off to bed.See you in a couple of days.
