Arrived in Frankfurt

After a safe drive to the airport with Chris,we had a long tiring day travelling.There was a delay in Toronto and the airport was chaos.Carry on luggage was a great decision.We were forced to use the Lounge and even then a line.We both managed to get some sleep in our pods(I know hard life)

It was an easy trip into the city on the train system to the main station.The fun began to get to our hotel.Once we were given directions,we headed to the tram system…suitcases and backpacks in toe.Off we went with a map.

Even with that ,we turned left rather than right,and we had the first language issue finding someone with enough English to help with directions.WE had removed our Canadian SIM cards on the flight and thus had no internet access to GPS!!We did get a bit of a tour of our neighbourhood.Finally we arrived at the Fleming Hotel Riverside and got our room keys.

We needed showers.Now in a few European hotels visited in the past ,the shower was in the room….glass shower.It gave “don’t look “ a new challenge.

After showers and a short map,we headed out to find food.More exploring and more sense of the neighbourhood.There many different options,but we chose a Germain outdoor pub,local beer,apple wine and some healthy salad like meals ….mine surrounded with steak strips.We wandered back to the hotel for sleep and to anticipate Wednesday.
